Open Board Member Positions
Social Media Chair/Co-Chair
Role: Responsible for managing and developing NOMA|nw’s social media presence to increase visibility, promote events, and engage with members. Serve as the primary point of contact for all social media accounts and ensure that all communications are consistent with the organization's brand and mission.
Responsibilities:
Creating and implementing a social media strategy under the direction of the Marketing Director
Manage and maintain all social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X)
Social media posts should include, but are not limited to:
Chapter Events/Initiatives
Cultural Holiday/Notable Figure Recognition Posts
Member Highlights
Develop and maintain a social media posting schedule to maximize reach and engagement
Collaborate with marketing team to produce consistent brand identity
Collaborate with other committees to align messaging and promote chapter events and initiatives
Time Commitment / Accountability:
Approximately 6-8 hrs per month, with highs/lows depending on season
Daily check of social media accounts for effective and timely communication
Monthly Board Meeting – 1.5 hrs In-person (virtual available when needed)
Monthly Marketing Committee Check Ins – Est. 1 hour/mo (subject to committee schedule agreements)
Quarterly Open Chapter Meetings (2 hrs In-Person)
Annual Board Retreat – One weekend in November (Fri-Sun, In-Person)
Shall be directly accountable to the Marketing Director
Qualifications:
Strong familiarity with managing Instagram, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn accounts
Experience with design programs including but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
Ability to develop and implement social media strategy to meet marketing goals
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excels in time management and organization to plan proactively and meet deadlines
