Exploring Black Identity

UW NOMAS Black History Month

For Black History Month, the NOMAS Chapter at the University of Washington curated a series of events that explored and celebrated the black experience within the built environment. Extending a huge thanks to everyone who made this series a reality and we’re excited to continue supporting more events that elevate BIPOC voices within the AEC industry.

MLK Day of Service

Part of the NOMA Northwest Chapter’s mission is to confront injustice and inequity faced by communities of color - through public advocacy, and education-driven professional and community based initiatives and programs. Our organization rallies around the guiding principle that positive change comes through the dismantling of biased policies, prejudices and inequitable practices within the AEC industry. We are all stronger when our spheres of influence are culturally inclusive, diverse, and equitable for all.
